Trilobites were among the most successful of all early animals. The first fossil records are from the Early Cambrian period 521 million years ago, and they existed for over 270 million years before they became extinct. Over 22,000 species have been described, from Acanthopleurella stipulae, the smallest at 1 mm, to Isotelus, the largest at 70 cm long. When Wassily Kandinsky began to play with geometric forms making abstract paintings, he unleashed a new direction in art. Such artists as Alexander Calder and Ellsworth Kelly took these forms and created a whole new world. These earrings were inspired by Kandinsky's artwork.
Finish: solid brass, electro-plated with non-tarnishing silver, acrylic, ear wires are hypo-allergenic.
